1/4/06 - The other day (New Year's Day) we had an exceptionally warm day. It isn't the spring sunshine but Bo got to go outside and feel the sunshine on his face :-) ! He enjoyed it very much and groomed and yodeled (I have yet to hear a REAL display out of him) for about an hour. He also enjoyed watching the wild birds out by the feeders.
We have been working on his strength and coordination almost every day. His cage will soon have more Booda perches because he finds those the easiest. He spend the entire day out of the cage but has trouble maneuvering about.When I serve up a meal I will pick him up and place him in front of the bowls.
Today he surprised me .... I served dinner and went to pick him up and he scooted away from me. I watched to see what he was doing. He clumsily climbed about and made it to his food bowls all by himself!!! As if to say, "Look! All our hard work is paying off!! This accomplishment may not sound like much to some but if you saw the difficulty in which he gets around you'd be proud of him !!
